Corner Of My Eye

I sat by the window
To let time pass by
When i saw her face
in the corner of my Eye

I looked again
as she disappeared
As if it was an illusion
As if she never appeared

Her face reminded me,
Of college days,
Late night shows
and a shared packet of lays

I still remember her smile
& her lovely grace
That matched her style
and her beautiful face.

We were teased in the college
but we really never cared
Coz we knew our friendship was true
so never got scared

3 years in the college
was like the world to me
My life was so happy
as happy it could be.

At the day of the graduation
we promised each other
we would stay like this
like this for ever

As time passed by
Distance between us grew
We could hardly meet
as we met people new

The communication was dropping
as even phone calls became rare
coz we were all busy
and dint have a second to spare

One day i was at a shop
shopping for some glue
When i saw her on the street
she was in blue

I hugged her,
right there on the street
She looked into my eyes
and guess what asked me for a treat

we made the promise again
to stay like this for ever
only this time we kept it
and it all seemed better

After lots of meetings
we became all close
and finally she said yes
when i proposed

I looked at the window outside
It was raining
Just as the day,
when my head first started paining

when we got my x-ray
the doctor was sure
I had a chronic disease
which had no cure

She looked into my eyes
and said you are not going to die
when i looked back at her
i think i made her cry

whenever she prayed for me.
god gave her a choice
the prayer for me
or some thing for her nice

I think i know
what she did choose
coz now without her
i have nothing more to loose

She did come back to the hospital
but not on her own feet
and i was discharged from the same
with a "miracle" written on my sheet

well, she is still with me
coz i never said bye
and whenever i miss her
i find her in the corner of my eye.
